Thought i'd add this topic for discussion after seeing the story in the news paper about giant rats being found in Bradford and Lincoln. Not Pouched rats but believed to be a species from South America known as Coypus and also one speculation of the African Greater Cane Rat

I have put the 2 links to the news reports below but will add a warning to all rat lovers on our forum there are some graphic images of the rats

So have you seen giant rats in your area (with the exception of our own pouched friends

)?
Do you think these are an exotic species or just our own wild rats having a good lifestyle and not struggling for food?
Would love to read your views
