Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma WA became the first zoo in America to add pouched rats to their animal encounters.
The 3 female Ansorgei pouched rats, Celine, Chiku and Mona Lisa all bred and trained by APOPO flew to the USA in May and made their debut appearance on July 20th 2019.
