Information About Rescue's
We currently have one female Pouched rat looking for a home.
If you have a pouched rat that does need re-homing for whatever reason please feel free to contact us.
We are pleased to announce that Auryn, Mogli, Asani and Afia were all successfully re-homed.
As responsible keepers and breeders of Pouched Rats, we here at UKpouchies open our doors to rescue animals; these animals have come to us for many different reasons and are looking for their forever homes.
We do our best to re-home these Pouched Rats within experienced and loving homes in the hope they will not be passed on to yet another home.
We always stress that although they can be bred and socialised to be tame, Pouched rats are not classed as domesticated pets and any animal can give a nasty bite so please research carefully before commiting to one of these animals. Too many people rush into buying these animals and then end up putting them up for rehome or rescue after a very short time.
Anybody interested in offering one of our rescues a forever home, please can we ask you to complete our enquiry form on our contacts page and we will send you a copy of our rescue screening form for you to complete. Home checks may also be carried out.
We do not have a specific re-homing fee as finding a home for our rescues is the utmost important factor; any contributions to the animals upkeep would always be welcomed and this would go towards the care of the animals that we take in and ensure that we were able to continue our rescue efforts in the future.
